Yes, it's normal, and there's a clear reason for it. For years, the answer you've likely been given for anxiety has been medication, or years of therapy and counselling. If that's what you've been told the path looks like, questioning something that claims a different one is possible isn't unreasonable. It's exactly what you'd expect from someone who's been paying attention.
Yes. If everything you've heard about anxiety has pointed toward medication or ongoing therapy as the answer, it makes sense to question anything that claims something different is possible. That's not resistance. It's a reasonable response to years of hearing the same message.
Because for a long time, they've been the two options most widely talked about, and for a lot of people, they genuinely help. Medication can ease what anxiety feels like day to day. Therapy and counselling give people a place to talk things through, often over months or years. Neither of those things is being dismissed here.
What's less talked about is a third option: working directly with where the anxiety pattern was created, so there's less of it left to carry day to day in the first place.
It combines psychoeducation with a formula you build yourself, and a coach who facilitates the space for you to un-create the anxiety and build a life free from it. That's a genuinely different starting point to being given medication to take or a weekly session to attend indefinitely.
Psychoeducation comes first: understanding how and why an anxiety pattern actually gets created, so none of what happens next feels random or done to you. From there, you and your coach build the specific formula that fits your pattern. Your coach isn't running you through a generic script. They're facilitating the space for you to find where it started and un-create it yourself.
It means the formula isn't fixed in advance and handed to you the same way it's handed to everyone else. Psychoeducation gives you the understanding of how anxiety patterns get created, and from there, you and your coach build the specific approach around your history, your pattern, and where it actually started. Two people can go through this and end up with genuinely different formulas, because two people rarely got here the same way.
Only Anxiety Breakthrough Coaches trained and licensed by the Emotional Health Coach Academy. This isn't a technique or a phrase anyone can pick up and start using. It's a specific methodology, and delivering it properly requires training through the Academy that created it.
That matters when you're weighing up who to trust with this. Working with someone using this name means working with someone who's actually been trained and licensed in it, not someone who's borrowed the language.
No. If you've spent years being told medication or therapy were the only paths available, questioning something that claims otherwise is a sign you're thinking it through properly. That's a good instinct to bring into the consultation, not a reason to skip it.
