DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?

Is Your Mind Always Working Overtime?

You may:

  • Replay conversations and worry that you said the wrong thing
  • Analyse every decision until you feel unable to choose
  • Constantly imagine what could go wrong
  • Find it difficult to relax, even when nothing is happening
  • Need reassurance before you feel safe or certain
  • Struggle to sleep because your thoughts will not switch off
  • Avoid situations because you are worried about how you will cope
  • Feel mentally and physically exhausted by your own thoughts

You may know that you are overthinking, but still feel unable to stop.

YOU ARE NOT BROKEN

Anxiety Can Feel Powerful, but It Is Not Who You Are

When anxiety has been part of your life for a long time, it can begin to feel like part of your personality.

You may describe yourself as a worrier, an overthinker or somebody who has never been confident.

But anxiety is not your identity.

The thoughts, fears and reactions you experience often follow established patterns. Those patterns can be understood and may be changed.

WHAT IS ANXIETY AND OVERTHINKING?

Anxiety is the mind and body’s response to something it believes may be threatening, uncertain or difficult to manage.

It can affect your thoughts, emotions, behaviour and physical sensations.

Overthinking happens when your mind repeatedly analyses a situation, problem or possibility without reaching a helpful conclusion.

You may believe that thinking about something for longer will help you feel prepared or prevent something from going wrong.

Instead, it often creates more doubt, more questions and more anxiety.

Common signs of anxiety and overthinking include:

  • Constant worry
  • Difficulty making decisions
  • Expecting the worst
  • Racing thoughts
  • Feeling tense or on edge
  • Needing reassurance
  • Replaying past events
  • Trying to predict every possible outcome
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Problems sleeping
  • Avoiding uncertain situations

HOW ANXIETY CAN AFFECT YOUR LIFE

It Can Make Your World Feel Smaller

Anxiety and overthinking can affect far more than your mood.

You may find it harder to:

  • Make everyday decisions
  • Concentrate at work
  • Enjoy time with other people
  • Be present in your relationships
  • Take opportunities
  • Travel or visit unfamiliar places
  • Rest without feeling guilty
  • Trust your own judgement
  • Sleep and wake feeling refreshed

Even enjoyable plans can become something to analyse, prepare for or avoid.

Over time, you may spend so much energy trying to prevent problems that you have little energy left to enjoy your life.

WHY DOES THE PATTERN KEEP GOING?

Overthinking Can Feel Like Protection

Anxiety often creates a repeating loop:

Trigger

Something happens, changes or feels uncertain.

Anxious Thought

Your mind begins asking what could go wrong.

Emotional or Physical Reaction

You feel tense, frightened, unsettled or unable to think clearly.

Overthinking, Avoidance or Reassurance

You analyse the situation, avoid it or ask somebody else to confirm that everything will be okay.

Temporary Relief

You feel calmer for a short time.

Greater Anxiety Next Time

Your mind learns that the situation was dangerous and that overthinking or avoidance kept you safe.

The problem is not simply that you think too much.

It is the pattern that repeatedly pulls you back into fear, doubt and the need for certainty.

PERHAPS YOU HAVE ALREADY TRIED EVERYTHING

You may have tried:

  • Counselling
  • CBT
  • Medication
  • Breathing exercises
  • Meditation
  • Self-help books
  • Podcasts
  • Positive thinking
  • Journalling
  • Asking other people for reassurance
  • Keeping yourself constantly busy

Some of these may have helped you understand or manage your anxiety.

But you may still find yourself returning to the same automatic thoughts and reactions.

That does not mean you have failed.

It may simply mean that the pattern keeping your anxiety going has not yet changed.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take before I start to feel a difference?

Many clients tell me they begin to feel better during the consultation itself. Having their symptoms properly explained, gaining a clearer understanding of what is happening and seeing why they feel the way they do can be enlightening.

For some people, it is the first time in a long time that they have felt there may genuinely be light at the end of the tunnel.

How much does the programme cost, and can I pay in instalments?

The full programme costs £999.

You can pay in full or spread the cost across three payments of £333.

We can discuss the payment options during your consultation so that everything is clear before you make a decision.

How do I know this will work for me when other things haven’t?

Our approach is different because we focus on how you may be unintentionally creating and maintaining your anxiety symptoms.

Together, we identify your individual anxiety formula so that you can understand exactly what keeps the cycle going and learn how to reverse it.

Once you can see your formula in action, you cannot unsee it. That understanding can be incredibly freeing and allows you to begin stepping away from the patterns that have been keeping your symptoms alive.

Is my problem too severe, complicated or long-standing to change?

Many people worry that their situation is different, too complicated or has been going on for too long.

When you have tried several things and your symptoms keep returning, it is completely understandable to feel doubtful or believe that nothing will work for you.

During the consultation, I will listen carefully to your situation and explain honestly how I may be able to help. I will also tell you if I do not believe my programme is right for you, so that you leave with a clearer understanding of your next steps and how you can move forward.

Do I need to book a consultation before starting?

Yes. It is important that the programme feels right for you and that I am confident I can help.

The consultation gives us both an opportunity to talk through your situation, explore what you would like to change and decide whether working together is the right next step.

What happens during the free consultation, and will I be pressured to go ahead?

The consultation is a free, friendly and informative conversation. It is simply an opportunity for you to explain what has been happening, ask questions and find out more about how the programme works. There is no pressure and no obligation to go ahead. The purpose is to help you understand your options and decide what feels right for you.
